One of the finest actors, producers and forces of nature to ever step in front of a movie camera, Burt was born on this day in 1913.
"The first time I saw myself onscreen, I thought I looked TERIBBLE! My hair looked like a bird's nest!" - Burt Lancaster

Such an amazing actor. He was great in every movie I've seen of his. Even the first Airport (1970)!
i agree, Burt is always worth seeing even if the film isnt so good.
he hated that Airport film - in his own words- "Biggest piece of shit i ever made!"
but of course a huge blockbuster and started that whole star-studded "disaster" flick trend.
thanks for commenting!
