Warren William, Les Paul, Mr Marshall and Mrs Artman...

Some new FUN stuff I recently aquired...

Vintage Lobby Card for Columbia pictures 1940 production of "The Lone Wolf Meets a Lady", starring Warren William, Jean Muir and Eric Blore...all 3 stars pictured on the card and in nice shape...and the price was right too! I only recently had the pleasure of viewing most of the Warren William Lone Wolf films for the first time and I enjoyed every one of them! Fun, fast moving little b pictures, great chemistry between the 2 male leads and of course Mr. Warren William outshines the material every time with his charismatic and often hilarious performances. Ditto for Eric Blore, Hollywoods go-to guy for sophisticated, dry-witted British man servants (As if there are any other kind right?)

In other Warren WIlliam news my very cool Meh gave me John Stangelands Biography "Warren William, Magnificent Scoundrel of Pre-Code Hollywood" for my birthday (March 31st) woo hoo!!!!! Thanks Meh!

My b-day present to myself for the next oh, 5 years or so....1980 Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Marshall JCM2000 40 watt combo tube amp. Plays like a dream...I had one just like it, same year, color and everything but sold it about 10 years ago when the times they were a tough. By Grabthar's Hammer I have now undone what I had done....or is it, I have unlearned what I have learned....I dunno, something like that. Let the payments begin...

Vintage double weight 8x10 still of Patricia "Mrs Artman" Ellis taken by the great Elmer Fry at Warner Bros. There is no year on this but judging by her darker hair I would say early 1930's.
