The exploitation and disrespect of Frank Frazetta and his legacy continues...
Sometime last week Frazetta's original cover art for EC's Weird Science Fantasy #29, long considered by many to be one of his finest works and arguably the greatest comic book cover ever sold in a private sale for $380,000....now this may seem like a tidy sum but in reality it is a pittance compared to it's true value as an astonishing piece of art and it's influence on an incalcuable number of artists and art lovers in the decades since its creation. That this iconic masterpiece was liquidated for such a bargain basement price less than a month after its creators passing shows a shocking level of disrespect on behalf of the sellers.*scan courtesy of Mr Door Tree*
